The Home Inspector Forum was established in 2005 as an independent community of trainee Home Inspectors studying towards the Diploma in Home Inspection (DipHI). Despite the changes to the industry we have maintained our independence and are not owned, operated or influenced by any panels, training providers or organisations within the HIP industry.
Our member base has now expanded to cover Domestic Energy Assessors, On
Construction DEAs, Commercial Energy Assessors and other related Property
Professionals. HIF now offers an open platform for members to discuss and debate all
matters relating to:

● Related surveys and services
including renewable energy/ building surveys/ asbestos etc.
From the very beginning we have always remained an independent resource funded by
our members subscriptions and online advertising. As the largest online
community of HI/DEA/CEA with over 13,500 registered members we have a diverse
and pro active community of property professionals.

How To Subscribe
To subscribe at anytime please
click the
little star under the forums navigation bar or just click the
Subscribe link
on the forums header and footer. Once subscribed if you entered your accreditation
number you will be automatically upgraded to Professional membership once verified.
When the upgrade is complete you will have full access to the Home Inspector
Forum.
Not accredited?
Please email Member Services
with a scan of your qualification certificate and we will upgrade you to
professional member once verified for full access.
Not Qualified Yet?
We have Trainee DEA/HI
and Trainee CEA status giving you access to all of our services, full posting
access to all of our public boards The only restrictions for Subscriber/ Trainee
members is you will only have “read only” access to the Technical boards and you
will not be able to access the Private Subscriber/Professional boards or the
Work Instructions board unless you are qualified/ accredited. Please email
Member Services once upgraded to be added to the appropriate group (Trainee DEA/ CEA/ HI).
For HIP Providers and
EPC/CEPC/HCR Providers you will receive the
same access as Trainee members but you will be able to post instructions to our
Work Instructions Boards. Please email Member Services once upgraded to be added
to the appropriate group (EPC HCR HIP Providers, Business Advisors).
Subscription Process
Our subscriptions system has been integrated with Paypal subscriptions to enable
you to manage your subscription from your Paypal History tab. Our subscription
is a two year rolling Subscription unless cancelled from your Paypal account.
The second year will be taken automatically by Paypal if not cancelled. Please

maintain this we have opted for a members only discussion forum. You do not need
